 '''Kavadikaranoor''' (also spelt as '''Kavadikaranoor''' or '''Kavadikaranur''' or '''காவடிகாரனூர்''' in [[Tamil]]) is a village of  [[Edappadi]] Taluk in [[Salem district]]  in the state of [[Tamil Nadu]], [[India]]. The economy is diversified.  It is largest village in Thangayur panchayat.  The rocks deposited on western side of kavadikaranoor is expected to have more number of rare minerals and much granite ore factories.

It is situated at the east basin of the hill called 'Sooriya malai'(Mountain of Sun).  The epic says, the Panja Pandavas were resided at the top of the hill during the first year of their 14 years forest living.  Still this mountain doesn't have any plants due to its rocky and unusual properties.  The research done by Periyar University Geologist shows it consist of rare radioactive minerals. Village have a beautiful view point as 'Koonamori Bridge' (A bridge with dangerous turns) to see the nearest town [[Edappadi]]. Aachampalli yeri(lake) is located in the north-eastern part and irrigation to nearby areas.
