In the inscriptions of Pushyamitra, she is unnamed but was named Devamala by [[Kalidasa]]. Agnimitra was the son of Pushyamitra and Devamala. Pushyamitra became the greatest of all kings because of his wife, Devamala. She was described a author or the historian [[Romila Thapar]] stating she was fair and Pushyamitra did not insult. Originally, Pushyamitra's fair wife, Devamala, had done medical treatment for animals. So, Pushyamitra did not insult her and but instead used to separate the cows and her children, the calves. After separating them, he used to kill the cows one by one. Devamala, angrily raged in anger and closed the cow-slaughter in [[History]] but Pushyamitra did not raise his voice at Devamala as both loved each other.
