Queen Tarini of [[Chalukya]] was given the title ''Mahishi'', ''Bhattarika'' and ''Mahadevi''. These titles were also adopted by her daughter in law, [[Vijaya-Bhattarika]], these titles were given to these queens as these titles belong to the chief queens. Some titles were given to her by her husband. As he, adopted the title named ''Bhattaraka'', his wife adopted the title ''Bhattarika''. That's why Tarinidevi is known as '''Tarini-Mahadevi''' or '''Tarini-Bhattarika'''.
