Adhiratha was the foster father of Karna and the charioteer of Bheeshma. He was also the leader of all Sutas and royal charioteers. As the ''[[Bhagavata Purana]]'', Adhiratha descended from [[Yayati]] and therefore was related to [[Krishna]].
