In September 2022, the Andhra Pradesh Airports Development Corporation Limited (APADCL) and [[Indian Navy]] officials have signed a MOU in [[New Delhi]] to move the civilian operations of Visakhapatnam Airport to the new [[Bhogapuram Airport|Bhogapuram]] facility.
