Every year in April a Shobha [[yatra]], in which large number of [[ex-servicemen]] participate, starts from the Guru Gorakh Nath Mandir. The yatra goes around Bakloh, covering a distance of approximately 10 kilometers.<ref name="BKT 2013"/>  From 19 to 22 April each year [[Puja (Hinduism)|Puja]], is conducted at the Guru Gorakh Nath Mandir,the Sansari Mandir, and the Kali Mata Mandir. On the last day of the puja program a combined Regimental puja is held in Guru Gorakh Nath Mandir. The format for the Pooja celebrations is issued by the Commandant 14 GTC as a  [[Standing operating procedure|Standing Operating Procedure]]. In addition to [[ex-servicemen]], small puja contingents from each of the five battalions and the 14 GTC also participate in the event. Bakloh Cantonment was established in 1866. It is category IV Cantonment. The board consists of four members, including two elected members.<ref name="Director of Estates">{{cite web|title=Director of Estates|url=http://www.dgde.gov.in/?q=cantonments/web/388|access-date=23 Jan 2013|year=2013}}</ref>

On the army's urging the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan{{which lang|date=July 2020}} opened a Kendriya Vidyalaya (central school), affiliated to [[Central Board of Secondary Education]], in Bakloh Cantonment, in October 1982. The school has classes 1 through 12. The chairman of the school is Commander 323 Mountain Brigade.<ref>{{cite web|title=Kendriya Vidyalaya Bakloh |url=http://www.kvbakloh.com/index.aspx |url-status=dead |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20120625123328/http://kvbakloh.com/index.aspx |archive-date=25 June 2012 }}</ref> The Kendriya Vidyalaya Bakloh got its own new building after an interval of 32 odd years on 16 February 2014. It is a prestigious Institute of Bakloh and has more than 400 students enrolled presently(2020)
