Badasgam has a shrine of Sufi saint "Sultan Sahab" where thousands of devotees from across the valley visit every year to pay homage and respect to the shrine of saint. Badasgam has a good literacy rate with competitive atmosphere among students. Its people have excelled in all walks of life. Badasgam village is undergoing rapid expansion and modernization. The economy of village is dependent on Hoticulture but a large number of people are also employed in Government and Private sectors.

Poverty rate has decreased in the village, but still many people are poor.

Watal Card is a canal that irrigates agricultural fields of Badasgam B. There has been increased road connectivity of agricultural fields which has brought ease in doing farming. However connectivity needs to be enhanced further.

Badasgam B lacks basic broadband facilities and BSNL FTTH which authorities need to take care of. The village lacks good foot paths and proper electrification system. Many poles are wooden and old. Besides Badasgam B suffers from serious power cuts in winter due to lack of enough power transformers to cater for the peak winter demand.

The village can be accessed by Islamabad-Kokernag road. The village is situated at junction of Achabal-Kokernag and Dialgam-Kokernag road.

A new Panchayat Ghar has been made in Badasgam B to help in increasing development of the village.
Cricket and volleyball are the main sports in the village. There is a cricket stadium located in the village. However number of children playing outdoor games has actually decreased overtime due to them having easy access to smartphones and online games. Also the land available earlier for playing cricket has drastically decreased because of increased plantation of trees over it.


Rubiya Sayeed of Badasgam is the first-ever Kashmiri girl who participated in North Zone women's team organised by the Board of Control for Cricket of India (BCCI) in Mumbai. She is the first women cricketer of Jammu and Kashmir to represent North Zone team.
