Bhuvaneshwari (also known as Bhuvi or Sowparnika) ([[Ranjani Raghavan]]), a girl from a small village, Hasirupete, goes to [[Bengaluru]] to work as a temporary lecturer to pay off her family's debts, and expects her friend Varudhini (also called Varu) (Sara Annaiah) to help. Varu runs a company that performs wedding ceremonies, and meets Harsha (Kiran Raj), CEO of Mala Cafe, at his cousin Aadi's (Rakshith) wedding immediately falling in love. Sania's (Aadi's fiancé) (Arohi Naina) parents ask Rathnamala (Harsha's mother) ([[Chitkala Biradar]]) who is the owner and founder of Mala School and Mala Cafe, a huge share in their property, to which she reluctantly agrees. After the wedding, Rathnamala leaves for Sigandhoor Devi Darshan on a bus that travels through her home village Hasirupete. Bhuvi, who returned to Hasirupete after she helped at Aadi's wedding, finds Rathnamala injured by a snake bite. Bhuvi takes Rathnamala to her home, who is impressed by Bhuvi's hospitality and kindness, and the two become close.

Bhuvaneshwari (Commonly called as Bhuvi or sowparnika) goes to [[Bengaluru]] (Bangalore) to work as a temporary lecturer to pay off her family's debts and expects her friend Varudhini (also called Varu) to help. Varu runs a company named Saptapadhi, which performs wedding ceremonies. Varu meets Harsha at his cousin Aadhi's wedding and immediately falls in love. Aadhi's fiancé Sania's parents ask Rathnamala for a huge share in their property, which Rathnamala reluctantly agrees to. After the marriage, Rathnamala leaves for Sidagnoor Devi Darshan on a bus traveling through her home village Hasirupete. Bhuvi, who returned to Hasirupete after she helped at Aadhi's wedding, finds Ratnamala injured by a snake bite. Bhuvi takes Rathnamala to her home, who is impressed by Bhuvi's hospitality and kindness. Bhuvi and Rathnamala become close.
Rathnamala returns to Bengaluru and offers a Kannada lecturer post to Bhuvi without the latter's knowledge. She also helps Bhuvi find a house to rent. Bhuvi and Harsha encounter each other many times; Bhuvi looks after Harsha at her home when he is sick for a few days. Rathnamala's doctor tells her that she does not have long to live. Rathnamala wants Harsha to marry Bhuvi; the two share a mutual attraction, but Harsha has doubts about her idealism in his practical world while Bhuvi hides her feelings by claiming they are just friends. Varudhini's desire for Harsha starts increasing gradually. Later, on Varu's birthday, Varu expresses that her inspiration is Harsha and hugs him; Bhuvi notices and cries. After a few days and constant meetings, Harsha realises his love for Bhuvi but decides not to confess. One night, Bhuvi has a dream in which her father is bitten by a snake. So she decides to return to Hasirupete to visit her father; Harsha and Bindu (Mohira Acharya), Bhuvi's sister accompany her. Bhuvi's father had died by the time she arrived, and she is compelled to perform the last rites of her father; she is taunted by her step-grandmother Mangallamma ([[R. T. Rama]]). After a few days Bhuvi, Harsha and Bindu return to Bengaluru after Bhuvi rejects a local man's marriage proposal given by Mangallamma. Bhuvi and Harsha release Varu from jail which the latter ended in to prevent Harsha from going to jail due to Sanya's evil plan. Varu's proxmity to Harsha makes Bhuvi sad as she thinks both of them love each other. Many instances come where Harsha and Bhuvi get close to each other, spend time and protect each other, but never confess their love.A few days later, Sanya taunts Harsha about his love and Varu. Harsha is shocked to know that Varu likes him, and the next day with Bhuvi's help, he tells her that he does not like her and that he treats her just as a friend. After a few days, Harsha celebrates Bhuvi's birthday in a grand way and confesses his love. Bhuvi in a shock stays silent thinking of Varu. After a few days, Harsha and Bhuvi go for a trip where Harsha is kidnapped. In fear of losing him, Bhuvi also confesses her love to him.

Rathnamala returns to Bengaluru and offers a Kannada lecturer post to Bhuvi and helps Bhuvi find a house to rent. Bhuvi and Harsha's paths cross many times. Bhuvi looks after Harsha at her home when he is sick for a few days. Rathnamala's doctor reveals to her that she does not have long to live. Rathnamala wants Harsha to marry Bhuvi; the two share a mutual attraction, but Harsha has doubts about her idealism in his practical world while Bhuvi hides her feelings by claiming they are just friends. Varudhini and her desire for Harsha starts increasing gradually. Later at Varu's birthday, Varu expresses that her inspiration is Harsha and hugs him. Bhuvi notices this and cries very much. after a few days and constant meetings, Harsha realises his love for Bhuvi but decides not to tell it to Bhuvi as he wants the expression of love from Bhuvi's side. he also challenges his sister Suchitra (Suchi) about the same.
Mangalamma falls sick and Bhuvi goes to Hasirupete to take care of the former. In course of time, Harsha and Rathnamala visit Hasirupete. They ask Mangalamma Bhuvi's hand in marriage. After some debate about her granddaughters' (Bindu and Preeti) future, Mangalamma accepts the proposal. Harsha buys the house which Bhuvi had intended to earlier and registers it in her name. The engagement takes place in Hasirupete in a village style. Sanya hires a supari killer and plans to kill Bhuvi. Bhuvi becomes a victim to this but survives with injuries when Varudhini helps her in time. Although Varu does not want to let go of her "hero", requests Bhuvi to let her be the wedding planner to which Bhuvi agrees. While planning for the wedding and its theme, Bhuvi comes up with an idea of marrying in a "Kannada style " where all the ceremonies are explained in detail and the rituals are performed by knowing its importance. The wedding rituals commences. Varudhuni still hopes to marry Harsha.

Suchi and Bindu try multiple ways to make Bhuvi and Harsha express their love for each other. Meanwhile, Sania, who wants to own the entire mala institute and to oust Harsha from the company, she plants drugs in Harsha's room on Ratnamala's birthday. She tells everything to Varu and Varu takes those drugs from Harsha's room and keeps it in Sania's room. Sania who is alerted by the same again hides them somewhere and in order to save Harsha, Varu keeps them in her own bag. later, Pooja, a journalist who is present at the party, calls the police, and Varu is held for those drugs. Varu is arrested and harsha, Bhuvi tries multiple ways to bail Vau and prove her innocence. After a few days, a Deepavali function is held in a temple where Suchi and Bindu tie Harsha's shalya and Bhuvi's saree. Even after multiple attempts the shalya did not come and Bhuvi keeps the same with her. Harsha claims that he loves Bhuvi in front of ratnamala.
The same night, Bhuvi gets a dream where her father is bitten by a snake and she gets panicked. She decides a short visit to hasirupete to visit her father. Unfortunately, Bhuvi's father would have died and Bhuvi, Bindu, Harsha reach Hasirupete the next day. All of them are shocked and Bhuvi is compelled to do the last rites of her father with many backlashes. Bhuvi is always taunted by her step grandmother mangallamma and Harsha always protects Bhuvi from mangallamma.

After a few days Bhuvi, Harsha and bindu return to Bangalore after Bhuvi rejecting one of the local man's marriage proposal given by mangallamma.
Soon after reaching Bangalore, Bhuvi and Harsha together release varudhini from jail. Varu being close to Harsha makes Bhuvi sad as she thinks both of them love each other but it is just one sided love from varu's side. Many instances come where Harsha and Bhuvi come close to eachother , spend time, protect eachother but never express their love for each other.
Few days later Harsha gets a tattoo on him as 'havi' and Harsha keeps this as a secret. But arshitha (harsha's P A) informs Varu of the same which indulges Varu to get a tattoo of letter 'H'. After Varu gets her tattoo she calls harsha for a dinner date where she asks Harsha about his tattoo. Harsha is shocked that Varu knows about his tattoo and is also annoyed by her for invading his privacy. She thinks he has the tattoo of her name. This makes harsha angry and he scolds Varu and leaves, leaving her alone to sob.Varu goes to an emotional turmoil and does not speak to anyone. Some time later Ratnamala gets admitted in the hospital where Bhuvi and Harsha are tensed and they console eachother to stay strong. At the same time an unknown person is texting Harsha and is following him. Coincidentally there is a person calling Sanya as well.
After a few days Ratnamala is discharged. Sanya on the oter side is in a chase to find Sowparnika unknown that it is none other than Bhuvi. She knows that the property is in her name and Ratnamala wishes harsha to marry Sowparnika. The school principal also warns Bhuvi not to disclose her name Sowparnika to anyone.

Few days later Sanya taunts Harsha regarding his love and varudhini. Harsha is shocked to know that Varu likes him and the next day with bhuvi's help and suggestions he tells Varu in a soft tone that he doesn't like her and wouldn't even in the future.
Finally without delays, Harsha informs Varu about his mindset that he doesn't love her and he likes her just as a friend. Harsha ended up with accepting a business idea by Varu that ties up his company and her company to strengthen their friendship. On the other hand Harsha has a idea to improve company and asks help of Bhuvi. They both visit that place and had a good time.
Harsha agrees to have an outing with Varu with Suchi where incidentally Bhuvi also joins that outing as Varu had invited her too. Here this is helping Harsha and Bhuvi to have good time.
