''' Chavassery ''' is a small town in [[Kannur district]] in the [[India]]n state of [[Kerala]]. In 1970 (21st January, 1970) Chavassery bus fire incident was reported from this village, in which 4 persons were charred to death after CPIM party worker's burnt a K.S.R.T.C bus with passengers still onboard.
