==Origins==
The party has roots back to the days of the princely State of [[Hyderabad State|Hyderabad]]. The [[Razakars (Hyderabad)|Razakars]], led by [[Kasim Razvi]], were an [[Islamist]] paramilitary organization of self-styled volunteers formed, ostensibly, to resist merger with India. The party has roots back to the days of the princely State of [[Hyderabad State|Hyderabad]]. The [[Razakars (Hyderabad)|Razakars]], led by [[Kasim Razvi]], were an [[Islamist]] paramilitary organization of self-styled "volunteers" formed, ostensibly, to "resist merger" with India.
