There are many nurseries, a primary school, and a government secondary school, a government hospital, two police stations: a SUB-REGISTRAR office that is the head facility for the nearest 18 villages and a Sivan temple, called Thirukkanneeswarar, located in the village. == Seithur Zamin ==
Seithur was ruled by Seithur Sevugapandiya thevar. Seithur Zamin ruled an area of 50sq. km, with his own palace of about 50 acres. He ruled the whole Virudhunagar district, with Zamindhar donating 150 acres of land to local hospitals, schools and temples, as well as many jewels, which are still maintained by a trustee. He also donated about 8 acres to Seithur Sevugapandiya Govt secondary school for boys and girl in Rajapalayam. He was president of the South Indian Zamindhar association. He spoke 11 languages and was very passionate about art and music.
