== Operations ==
It was mainly a steam loco shed but it was converted into a diesel shed in 1988. Being one of the Diesel sheds in [[Northern Railway zone]], AMV (LKO) does various major and minor maintenance including washing and painting of locomotives. It also holds some electric locomotives like WAP-1 and WAG-7.

It was established in the year 1988 and the first loco homed in the shed was a WDS-6 #19036 class shunting locomotive. It was ISO  certified in the year 2003 with ISO 9001-2000.
== Livery and Markings ==
Indian Railways allows all the loco sheds to paint the locomotives as they wish. LKO also has a unique and beautiful colour scheme of Diesel locomotives. LKO has its own stencils and Markings on the locomotives. It is written on loco's front and back body.
