Sanjeevani sang five of the eight songs of [[Vidhu Vinod Chopra]]'s Hindi movie ''[[Kareeb]]'', which was her first movie as playback singer. She won the Ashirwad Best Playback Singer Award for the song "Chori chori jab nazrein mili". She was nominated for the [[Filmfare Best Female Playback Award]] in 1999. She has performed more than 2000 concerts around the world, including her song "Nigahe Milane ko ji chahata hai" from one of the concerts, which received 1 million hits.
