Excluding [[Assam Rifles]] and [[National Security Guard|NSG]], only the following five forces which come under [[Ministry of Home Affairs (India)|Ministry of Home Affairs]] have been considered as [[Central Armed Police Forces|Central Armed Police forces]] (CAPFs) from March 2011 to avoid confusion. Before 2011 they were considered as CPOs since 01 Jan 1986.
