Shillong Polytechnic was established in 1965, by the Government of India, as a polytechnic college. It is an AICTE recognised college and currently offers diplomas in 6 disciplines.

Campus[edit]

The college is located at Mawlai Kynton Massar, Shillong in a sprawling campus. The campus includes the main academic building and the labs. Also it has the residential quarters for the professors and also hostels for the students.

Diplomas courses offered[edit]

The college currently offers the following courses.

  • Civil Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Electronics Engineering

Also the college offers a post diploma course in Information Technology.

Future Plans[edit]

The foundation stone for state's first engineering college was laid in the campus by Mr. Mukul Sangma, the chief minister of Meghalaya on 12, August 2017.
