Sharda is a 1981 Hindi-language drama film, produced by K. K. Talwar on Shiv Kala Mandir banner and directed by Lekh Tandon. It stars Jeetendra, Rameshwari and music composed by Laxmikant–Pyarelal.[1][2][3][4][5]
Plot[edit]
Indra Malhotra (Jeetendra) is a hardworking Executive in an organization and is due for a promotion from his boss, Mr. Kohli (Madan Puri), who also plans to marry his daughter Anita (Sarika) with Indra. Mr. Kohli also meets with Indra's mother and a marriage is planned between the two families. While attending a meeting, Indra gets drunk and as a result, commits to marry an orphan, Sharda (Rameshwari). The marriage is finalized according to appropriate Hindu Rites. Indra accepts the marriage even though he knew he was drunk, but Indra's mother is difficult to convince. Then Indra & his friend, Jagdish (Jagdeep), plan to kill Sharda so that Indra's mother can have her way and get him married to Anita Kohli. What follows will change Indra's life forever.
