Satadhar


Satadhar is a holy place in Visavadar, Gujarat dedicated to Saint Appa Giga from Visavadar.[1] It is believed that Appa Giga came to this place to work in 1800 A.D for people's welfare.[2][3] Every year, a fair is held here and many devotees visit here to get blessing.[4]

HistoryEdit

Before, Appa Giga came to this place, there was no food for the people as it did not rain in the place for 3 years. In 1800 A.D, Appa Giga established this Satadhar for the people's welfare and social activities as Serving Unknown people, Gaushala taking care of the Cows. Free foods, Shelters and clothing are provided to devotee and unknown people without any charge or donation since it started.[5]
