Sandbhor is the last name of a group of people originate from Rajgurunagar (previously Khed) of Pune District, Maharashtra, India. Their original surname was Chavan (Chauhan) and it is believed they migrated to Rajgurunagar from North India during the late 16th to early 17th century.
Chavans were sardars they come from sikarh in Rajasthan. Sandbhor's come under forward (open) caste. Sandbhor's belong to Hindu-Maratha caste. They have settled in Maharashtra near by Pune, village names Rajgurunagar, Kavathe Yamai, Shikrapur etc.
