Samhaara (transl. Vanquishing) is a 2018 Indian Kannada-language romantic action thriller film directed by Guru Deshpande.[2] It stars Chiranjeevi Sarja, Hariprriya, Kavya Shetty, Bala Rajwadi and Chikkanna.[3] The score and soundtrack for the film is by Ravi Basrur and the cinematography is by Jagadish Wali. The film is a remake of Tamil film Adhe Kangal (2017) directed by Rohin Venkatesan.
Launched on 29 April 2017, the principal photography of the film began in May 2017. The film's summary was announced to be a revenge drama where Sarja plays two different roles, one of which is a born-blind chef who owns a restaurant.[4] The film was shot majorly in Mangaluru and nearby coastal regions.
Plot[edit]
Srishaila (Chiranjeevi Sarja) is a blind chef and owner of a popular restaurant. One day Nandhini(Haripriya) comes to his restaurant for a charity donation, and Srishaila falls in love with her daily visits. One day Janaki (Kavya Shetty) comes to Srishaila's parents and asks his parents his hand for marriage to which they accept.
Srishaila decides to propose Nandhini in his restaurant. Then Nandhini comes teary-eyed and tells to Srishaila, that some thugs have stolen her money and her father is not well and is admitted to hospital. Shrishaila gives his money to her. After some days, he finds Nandhini has cheated her, and cheating the blind persons is her profession. How Shrishaila teaches her a lesson and saves other blind persons from her clutches forms the plot.
