History[edit]

SP Cinemas was set up by SP Sankar in 2017. Its first production was Barath Neelakandan's K-13 (2019) starring Arulnithi and Shraddha Srinath. Their next production was Maara, directed by Dhilip Kumar starring Madhavan and Shraddha Srinath and it is the remake of the Malayalam film Charlie (2015).
