Razakar: The Silent Genocide of Hyderabad
Razakar: Silent Genocide of Hyderabad is an upcoming 2024 Indian Telugu-language film.[1][2] The film is directed by Yata Satyanarayana and produced by BJP Telangana state executive committee member, Gudur Narayana Reddy.[3] The story of the film revolves around the Hyderabad Liberation Movement of 1948.[4][5] The theatrical poster was released in July 2023, while the trailer of the film was released on 17 September 2023.[6] The film will depicts atrocities, like the episode of Gundrampally, Parkala, Bhairanpally villages.[7] The film stars Bobby Simha, Vedhika and Makarand Deshpande.[8] Suddala Ashok Teja has written the songs for the film, and Bheems Ceciroleo is the music director. The film is expected to release in 2024.

In July 2023, Majlis Bachao Tehreek spokesperson Amjed Ullah Khan said that the film ‘Razakar’ is based on distorted history. In September 2023, Telangana's Information Technology Minister K. T. Rama Rao said that BJP is using the film to instigate “communal violence and polarisation for their political propaganda” in Telangana[9] and he would take up the matter with the censor board.[10]
