Rana Safvi (born 1957) is an Indian columnist, writer, and historian based in Delhi. She is the author of ten books including In Search of the Divine[1] and The Forgotten Cities of Delhi. Early life and education[edit | edit source]
Rana Safvi was born in year 1957 at Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh to Syed Asghar Abbas Zaidi, an IPS officer and Azra Zaidi, teacher.[14][15][16]
She completed Master of Arts in Medieval History from the Aligarh Muslim University.
Personal life[edit | edit source]
Rana Safvi married Syed Gazanfar Abbas Safvi, an engineer from Shamsabad, Uttar Pradesh in 1981 and they have 2 children.
