Pooja Banerjee Sejwal (born 8 November 1991) is an Indian television actress.[2] She is known for portraying Tejal Mazumdar in Star Plus's Ek Doosre Se Karte Hain Pyaar Hum and Nivedita Basu in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2.[3] She presently portrays Rhea Mehra in Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya.[4] She participated in MTV India's MTV Roadies 8 in 2011 and Nach Baliye 9 in 2019.

Early life[edit]

Banerjee completed her schooling from Centre point school and college from Hislop College, Nagpur. She pursued her graduation in Bachelor of Commerce and completed her post graduation in Masters in English literature. She has also represented Maharashtra at the national level swimming tournaments. She swam the 5 km sea race in the Arabian Sea and 14 km river race in river Hooghly.[5] Banerjee has also played a swimmer, Rewa Mathur, in Swim Team.[6][7]

Personal life[edit]

Banerjee is married to Olympian swimmer, Sandeep Sejwal.[8] He won a bronze medal in 50m breaststroke at the 2014 Asian games held in Incheon. He was awarded the Arjuna award by then president of India, Pranab Mukherjee.[9]
