Philatelic Museum is a postal museum in Bangalore dedicated to showcase the communication journey in the past by mail. The museum is located on the first floor of the General Post Office in Bangalore. It's a collection of rare stamps from different periods, countries, shapes and sizes.[1][2]

Sandesha[edit | edit source]
It has stamp on 3 themes, birth of the nation, Indian culture and Mysore anche. The name is been coined Sandeshas as messages were sent by sounds and fire.[3][4]
Samparka[edit | edit source]
It has communication items of the yesteryear, such as Morse code, Petromax light, mail bomb detector, stamps and seals impressed with army postal uniforms. The name is been coined.[3][4]
Samputa[edit | edit source]
It has old order books, mail bags and mail sorting cases.[3] It was supposed to ensure the quality of postal services.[4]
Samvahana[edit | edit source]
It shows VSAT apparatus which helps to transmit money in 1990s.[3][4]
Sangathi[edit | edit source]
It shows brass weighs and raincoats.[3][4]
Sangraha[edit | edit source]
Here are displays in philatelic frames and is an activity room. Special covers and philatelic literature are showcased in the room.[3][4]
