It stars Harish Kalyan and Siddhi Idnani in the lead roles, alongside Kovai Sarala, Thambi Ramaiah, Chinni Jayanth, Sampath, M. The film follows Vino, a newly appointed broadcaster who moves to Goa. While searching for a lead for his new show, he meets Fenny, and the two develop a romantic relationship. Nooru Kodi Vaanavil was written and directed by Sasi, whose earlier films include Poo, Pichaikkaran and Sivappu Manjal Pachai. The project was announced in January 2022, when the makers revealed its title through a motion poster. Production began in 2019, but the film remained unreleased for several years. Harish Kalyan said that work was interrupted during the COVID-19 pandemic: the Goa schedule had been completed, while a portion to be filmed in Mumbai remained pending.[6]
Music[edit | edit source]
The film's soundtrack was composed by Siddhu Kumar. The songs feature lyrics by Mohan Rajan and Vignesh Ramakrishna.[7]
Release[edit | edit source]
Nooru Kodi Vaanavil was earlier reported to be scheduled for a 2023 release, but the makers did not officially confirm a theatrical date. It instead premiered directly on ZEE5 on 6 November 2026 as a Diwali release.[8]
The film was made available through ZEE5 Global's pay-per-view model, with the platform positioning it for Tamil audiences in North America and other supported regions.[9]
