New Arcades is a London-based synth-pop and electronic music duo consisting of Dean Canty (vocals, production, synth) and Adam Sullivan (vocals, production, guitar, synth, mixing).[1][2] The band was formed in 2012 and they’ve been featured in several films including Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong and A Light Beneath Their Feet and they have also contributed a track for the mobile game "RetroDrive".[3]
Career[edit]
The duo was formed in 2012 and released their debut single "You're All I've Got". In 2019 they released their debut album "Returning Home" in November 2019, with their first EP "Nothing is Lost".[4] They followed this with the "Scenes" EP via We are the future records. The song "Don't let go" was covered extensively by various blogs including INDIE SHUFFLE.[1] Their third EP "We had it all for just a moment" was released in January 2016 on New Retro Wave Records.[5]
In 2018, they released their EP "Nothing is Lost" which was followed by their debut album "Returning Home" in November 2019. Their second album, In the Deepest of Dreams, was released in September 2021 by New Retro Wave Records.[6] It peaked number 3 on UK electronic album charts (iTunes) and peaked at number 6 in the United States electronic album charts.
