Narendra Giri

Mahant Narendra Giri was one of the India's most influential Hindu seers. In 2014, He was elected as the head of the Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad and was re-elected in 2019. On September 20, 2021 he was found hanging from a fan in his room in Allahabad's Baghambari Math. The police found a suicide note in which he is said to have blamed a disciple named Anand Giri with whom he was embroiled in a property tussle.^[1]
