Nagaram is a coastal village in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh in South India.

Geography and climate[edit]

Nagaram is located at 16°30′04″N 81°54′39″E / 16.501106°N 81.910726°E / 16.501106; 81.910726 at an average altitude of 30 metres (98 ft).

Muharram[edit]

Every year the majority of shia people in Nagaram village mourn Imam Hussein's Death in the month of Muharram. A huge crowd assembles every year to Mourn Muharram.
