Na Maloom Afraad (2014), Nabeel Qureshi's directorial debut, is a Pakistani action-comedy featuring Javed Sheikh, Fahad Mustafa, and Mohsin Abbas Haider as three poverty-stricken men pursuing wealth through dubious means, supported by Urwa Hocane, Kubra Khan, and Salman Shahid.
Produced on a 9 crore PKR budget by Hum Films, Filmwala Pictures, and Eveready Pictures, the Karachi-shot film (largely in Saddar Town's real locations) underwent extensive pre-production, including years of script development and actor rehearsals. Premiering at South Asian International Film Festival 2014, it released in Pakistan on 6 October 2014 (Eid al-Adha) and later in the UK (22 May 2015), grossing 14 crore PKR worldwide.
The critically acclaimed film broke records as Pakistan's longest-running release since 2007 (165 days), surpassing Waar. It won multiple awards, including Hum Awards' Special Recognition for Qureshi/Fizza Ali Meerza, and Lux Style Awards' Best Film (Meerza), Best Director (Qureshi), and Best Actor (Sheikh). Its 2017 sequel Na Maloom Afraad 2 earned 21 crore PKR, becoming 2017's second-highest grosser.
