Mera Hou Chongba (literally, "merrymaking in Mera") or Mera Thaomei Thaanba (literally, "lighting oil lamps in Mera") or Mera Waa Yungba (literally, "bamboo poll erection in Mera") is a festival celebrated by the Meitei ethnicity and the tribesmen communities of Manipur, on the 15th lunar day of "Mera" month of the Meitei calendar (Manipuri calendar), mainly in the Sana Konung of Imphal. The main theme of the festival is the unity and love between the Meitei people and all the tribesmen of Manipur.[1][2]
