Maruthi Vidya Kendra (or MVK) in Someshwarapuram, Tumkuru, Karnataka was established in the year 1986 by veteran educationist of Tumkuru, K. Venkataramaiah,[1] currently operated under the management of Maruthi Educational Trust, which the school eventually evolved into. It is a coeducational school situated in the heart of the city[2] and has offered education for children from Kindergarten to Class 10 under the Karnataka State Board of Education. A new school was started in 2004 in Belgumba, at the outskirts of Tumkuru city under CBSE curriculum. Currently the Maruthi Vidya Kendra Group has five institutes[3] including four at Belagumba campus and one at Someshwarapuram campus, which serves as headquarters for the MVK Group.
