Malla Vijaya Prasad is an Indian politician, educationalist, film producer, former MLA and businessman. He is currently the Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Education Welfare and Infrastructure Development Corporation. He has received a doctorate.
Birth And Education[edit | edit source]
Malla Vijaya Prasad was born in 1966 at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. He completed his B.A. at Berhampur University in Odisha, and graduated in 1998. [1]
Profession and Life[edit | edit source]
Malla Vijaya Prasad, First entered into Transport Business.Later, He entered into Real-Estate Business and Started Welfare Group and became a Business Man.He later Started an Engineering college and a Degree College.
Having an interest in Films,made Malla to enter into films and Produced few Films in Telugu.He Established a Trust called Vijaya Prasad Welfare Charitable Trust. and did social Activities Like free Education for the poor,Free Health Camps.[2]
Political Life[edit | edit source]
He entered into politics from Congress Party and Contested from Visakhapatnam West Assembly constituency and defeated P.G.V.R. Naidu by 4144 votes and emerged as winner.He joined YSR congress in 2014.[3] Later,he Contested from ysrcp in the same Constituency in 2019 and faced defeat.
On July 17, 2021, He was appointed as Education Welfare and Infrastructure Development(EDID) board chairman by the Ruling party
