Malina Debnath (born 1976)[1] is an Indian politician from Tripura.[2] She was a Member of Tripura Legislative Assembly from Jubarajnagar Assembly constituency in North Tripura district.[3]

Personal life[edit | edit source]

Debnath earned a Master of Arts in Bengali from Tripura University in 2001.[1]

Career[edit | edit source]

Debnath won the 2022 Tripura byelection representing Bharatiya Janata Party from Jubarajnagar Assembly constituency by a margin of 4,572 votes.[4] She took oath on 28 June 2022.[5] However, she lost the 2023 Tripura Legislative Assembly election on BJP ticket to Sailendra Chandra Nath of CPI (M) by a narrow margin 296 votes.[2]
