Maharani Jaiwanta Bai

Maharani Jaiwanta Bai (About this soundpronunciation ) was an Rajput queen Of Mewar. She was a daughter of the Songara clan's chief Akhayraj of Jalore and the first wife of Rana Udai Singh II.[1] She advised Udai singh on Political matters. She was the mother of Pratap Singh I.[2] An great Lord Krishna devotee, he mentions and inspires young Pratap by narrating the folklore of valor and honor, which help shape his fate as a future leader and protector of his people. She is described as lady of Intelligence, spirituality, dignity and pride.
