Mussie Sheikh (born October 8, 1994), known by his stage name Lil Mussie, is an New Zealand rapper and philanthropist from Auckland.[1][2] Lil Mussie is also founder of a charity known as the Bread Charity which helps children living in poverty.[3][4]

Philanthropy[edit]

Mussie graduated from the University of Auckland with an honours degree in chemistry.[5] In 2017, he founded Bread Charity that provide children from struggling backgrounds with mentoring and appropriate clothing. The charity runs a series of supercar events to raise money.[6][7][8]

During the COVID-19 pandemic in New Zealand Mussie and UFC fighter Shane Young competed in an online Call Of Duty competition. Mussie, having lost, donated $1000 to a family in need.[9][10][11][12]

Music[edit]

In August 2020 he worked with Kanye West's team on his single 'On Me'. The single features American rapper King Chip (also known as Chip Tha Ripper).[13][14][15][16] The engineering of the song was done by 4 time Grammy winner Anthony Kilhoffer[17][18]
