Kove.Manisekaran (Tamil: கோவி. மணிசேகரன்) is a Tamil Scholar, film director, actor from Tamil Nadu, India. Kove.Manisekaran is only Tamil writer who swept the all of Literature awards in Tamil Nadu. who also the great musician,"the sangeetha booshanam" first class in first in rank at Annamalai University in the year, 1951

Biography[edit]

Kove.Manisekaran has been publishing for more than 50 years. He has written 8 plays, 29 short story collections, 30 social novels, 50 historical novels and 8 essays.[1] He is most noted for his historical novels. He is a recipient of several prestigious award including the most honourable Sahitya Akademi Award for Tamil for his historical novel Kutrala Kurinji in the year 1992.[2] He has also directed two Tamil and one Kannada film. He was an assistant to noted Tamil film director K. Balachandar for three years. His film Thennankeetru won the Tamil Nadu film fans association award and the Government of Karnataka's Neerikshe award.[3]
