Kamal Singh Malik (born 1 February 1966) is an Indian politician and a former member of the 17th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh. He represented the Garhmukteshwar constituency and is a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).[1]

Early life and education[edit | edit source]

Kamal Singh Malik was born into a farming family in Lodhipur village, Moradabad district. He became an active Swayamsevak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at a young age. He earned his Master of Arts (M.A.) from M. J. P. Rohilkhand University as a university topper and was awarded a PhD in Geography.[2]

Political career[edit | edit source]

Malik won the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election from Garhmukteshwar by defeating the incumbent minister Madan Chauhan.[3]
