Dr. A. Kaliyamurthy, MA, Ph.D is a former police officer from Tamil Nadu, India,[1] who served in the Tamil Nadu Police for 35 years.[2] He retired as the Superintendent of Police in Trichy. During his service, he received the Chief Minister's Award and the President's Police Medal[3] for Distinguished Service.[4] After his retirement, he became a motivational speaker,[5] inspiring and motivating people through his speeches.[6]
Early life and education[edit]
Dr. Kaliyamurthy was born in Budalur, Thanjavur district and completed his education with a Master's degree (MA) and a Doctorate (PhD) in Tamil literature.[7]
Career[edit]
Kaliyamurthy joined the Tamil Nadu Police Service on October 13, 1976, and served for 35 years until his retirement on October 30, 2010.[8]He achieved the rank of Superintendent of Police during his tenure.[9]
Motivational speaking[edit]
Following his retirement, Dr. A. Kaliyamurthy has become a renowned motivational speaker,[10]and inspiring millions of people through his speeches.[11]
