Jawani Phir Nahi Ani ( ; JPNA), a 2015 Pakistani adventure-comedy directed by Nadeem Baig, marked the beginning of the popular film series under the same name. Produced by Humayun Saeed’s Six Sigma Plus in collaboration with Salman Iqbal and Shahzad Nasib, the movie features an ensemble cast including Humayun Saeed, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Ahmad Ali Butt, Vasay Chaudhry, Mehwish Hayat, and supporting actors like Sohai Ali Abro and Jawed Sheikh. The plot follows a single divorce lawyer who arranges a trip for his three married friends, hoping to free them from their mundane lives and overbearing wives.
Shot primarily in Thailand (Bangkok, Pattaya, Coral Island), with select scenes filmed in Karachi, the project wrapped filming on 5 June 2015 before its Eid al-Adha release on 25 September 2015. The film was both a critical and commercial success, earning 49.4 crore Rs. worldwide and surpassing Waar (2013) as Pakistan’s highest-grossing film at the time—a record later broken by *Punjab Nahi Jaungi* (2017). Today, it stands as the sixth highest-grossing Pakistani film. A sequel, Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, directed again by Baig, arrived on 22 August 2018."
