Hosahalli R Keshava Murthy

H R Keshava Murthy is a Gamaka exponent from Hosahalli in Shimoga district. He is one of the artists featured in the sound tracks of Gamaka. He has also given program with mattur Krishnamurthy on Udaya TV. He Honored Kumaravyasa Prashasti in the year of 2009. Padma Shri in 2022 he was also awarded Karnataka ratna by government of Karnataka in 2002

Career[edit]

Keshava Murthy is a noted expert in the field of Gamaka.[1] born on 22/02/1935.He is one of the artists featured in the sound tracks of Gamaka available from Gamaka Kala Parishat (Gamaka Art Academy), that is located in Hosahalli. He has also given programs with Mathur Krishnamurthy on Udaya TV, which is a well known regional television channel. Also received Padma Shri award for his outstanding contribution in the field of gamaka vaachan he was congragulated by governement of Karnataka ,DC and SP of sivamogga for receiving Padma Shri.
