Foxconn, formally known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd., is a multinational electronics contract manufacturer headquartered in Taiwan. In recent years, Foxconn has been diversifying its operations in India, aiming to become a key player in the country's growing electronics and manufacturing sectors.[1]

Foxconn has established a manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu, where it has initiated the production of iPhone 15 models. This move is part of Foxconn's broader strategy to make India a new global manufacturing hub, aligning with the Indian government's Make in India initiative.[2][3]

Foxconn has made significant investments in India, including a commitment of Rs 4,100 crore for the establishment of two new factories.
