Finance Secretary of Pakistan

The Finance Secretary of Pakistan (Urdu: معتمدِ خزانہ پاکستان‎, romanized: mōtamada-ē-khazānā Pākistāna Dēvanāgarī: मोतमद-ए-खज़ाना पाकिस्तान ) serves as the federal secretary for the Ministry of Finance. Recognised as one of the most influential bureaucrats in the country, this role involves leading the Finance Division and significantly contributing to the development of the nation's economic and financial policies. Typically, the individual in this position is a BPS-22 grade officer, often hailing from the Pakistan Administrative Service. The current incumbent is Imdadullah Bosal.

To manage the substantial workload associated with this role, the Finance Secretary is supported by a Special Secretary of grade 22, six additional secretaries of grade 21, and a Special Assistant holding a grade between 17 and 18. This delegation of responsibilities represents the largest number of deputies assigned to any secretary within the federal government.
