DescriptionOpenSpeaks-Gju-Maari Jaban Maari Birsa-Taukeer Alam-Van Gujjari Wedding.webm In this interview, Taukeer Alam talks briefly about different Van Gujjar cultural festivals, detailing on unique wedding rituals and clothing in his native language, Van Gujjari. Recorded in Dehradun, Uttarakhand state, India by Subhashish Panigrahi 2019 for the production of his 2021 documentary, MarginalizedAadhaar. The footage was unused in the film and was edited and published under the मारी जबान मारी बिरसा (Maari Jaban Maari Birsa) project in 2025. Van Gujjari and Hindi subtitles are by Alam, and the translation to English is by Panigrahi.
