22 лютого о 12:34 у м. Щастя внаслідок обстрілу з тимчасово непідконтрольної території, сталося влучання снаряду в трансформатор на території ТЕС з подальшим займанням, розливом мастила та перекиданням вогню на сусідній трансформатор.

На гасіння пожежі трансформаторів направлено 12 од. техніки, яка була зосереджена на під’їзді до м. Щастя до припинення обстрілів.

Станом на 18:30, через відсутність режиму «тиші», гарантій безпеки та постійні обстріли було прийнято рішення про повернення підрозділів на місця дислокації. Зі слів Головного інженера Луганської ТЕС три трансформатори 2-ої черги розбито, є попадання в головний щитовий пристрій, в машинний зал. 40 робітників ЛуТЕС знаходяться в сховищі.
