The heliostats: flat mirrors with a total surface of 2,835 m² reflect the sunlight to the great parabolic mirrror. The correct adjustment is done with computer programs.

The tower: contains the absorber (625 cm²) in the focal point of the parabolic mirror, in which the sunlight is concentrated. In the focal point temperatures of more than 3,500 °C can be reached.

The parabolic mirror: with a surface of about 2,000 m², this mirror collects the sunlight reflected by the heliostats and concentrates it on the focal point in the tower.

At the back side (south side) there are four smaller mirror and collector systems (two of them are actually working).
