Fakir Dungaria

Fakir Dungaria (born 6 October 1969) was an Indian cricketer who played for Gujarat. He made a single first-class appearance for the side, during the 1991-92 season, against Baroda. From the lower-middle order, he scored 21 runs in the first innings in which he batted, and 9 runs in the second.
Dungaria is from a small town called Daman in India. In 1985 he started playing cricket for local club called Jawan Tandel and Vadilal cc Vapi. He was spotted by Maheshbhai Pithawalla from Bhimpore, Surat. In 1987, Pithawalla offered him an invitation to play for his own Pithawalla cricket club. Dungaria accepted and delivered strong performances at the level of club cricket and playing for the Surat district cricket association. By 1992 he played for state Gujarat Under-19 and a Ranji trophy for Gujarat.
Between 2002 and 2008, Dungaria played for Broadstairs cricket club in Kent Cricket League. Since 2009, Dungaria has played for Radlett in the Home Counties Premier League. Also He played for Uxbridge cricket club in Middlesex League, Syston cricket club in Leicestershire league, and Hertfordshire cricket league for Broxbourne cricket club 2013 and 2014 then In 2016 Dungaria went back to his old club Radlett CC playing 1st team cricket in Saracens Hertfordshire Premier Cricket League.
In 2020 Fakir Dungaria made an international debut for England senior side (Over50s) against Wales and participated in Marlborough cup UK for England.
In 2022 Fakir Dungaria decided to play Over50’s cricket for his own nation (India) since than he has been an active member for the India Over50’s side. In 2023 he has been selected to play Over50’s cricket World Cup in Cape Town (South Africa) which was held from 03/03/2023 to 21/03/2023. In 2024 Fakir Dungaria travelled to South Africa to play Over40’s cricket World Cup for India.
2025 Fakir appears for India veterans in Colombo Sri Lanka to play his 3rd World Cup and creates a history to become a first ever batsman from India to score a century against Canada 124no in 117 balls. Scoring total 302 runs and taking 10 wickets with his left arm spin bowling to help India veterans to win the plate competition successfully.
