Shanto Khan was a film actor and model from Dhaka, Bangladesh. He made his debut in the Bangladeshi Dhallywood film Prem Chor in 2019. The film, directed by Uttam Akash, featured him in a prominent role. He was best known for his portrayal of the young Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the movie Tungipara Miya Bhai, where he starred alongside Prarthana Fardin Dighi.
In 2019 and 2020, he acted with Srabanti Chatterjee and performed an item song with Sunny Leone in his upcoming movie Bikkhov, which told the story of the student movement in Bangladesh in 2018. In Tungipara Miya Bhai, he portrayed the young Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and Prarthana Fardin Dighi starred as Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib. Directed by Shamim Ahmed Roni, Dighi played the role of the young Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib in the film.
Shanto Khan had approximately 10 films in various stages of production with numerous prominent Tollywood stars and had directed Tungipara Miya Bhai, a film based on significant events in the life of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

On August 7, 2024, Khan's life was tragically cut short. According to a report by The Daily Star, "In Chandpur, Shanto Khan and his father Selim Khan, chairman of Lakshmipur Union Parishad, were beaten to death. As the news of Sheikh Hasina's resignation spread, Khan and his father fled his village and went to Farakkabad Bazar of Balia Union. When people tried to stop them, they managed to flee by opening fire. When they reached the nearby Bagarabazar area, an angry mob caught and killed them. Chandpur Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Sheikh Mohsin Alam confirmed the matter." His untimely death was a significant loss to the film industry, and his contributions to cinema are fondly remembered.[1][2]
