Dixie Jane D'Amelio, born on August 12, 2001, in Norwalk, Connecticut, is an American social media personality and singer recognized for her engaging videos on TikTok. She is the elder sister of fellow TikTok star Charli D'Amelio.

Early Life[edit]

Dixie was born to Marc D'Amelio, a 2018 Republican candidate for the Connecticut State Senate, and Heidi D'Amelio, a photographer and former model. Growing up alongside her sister Charli, both siblings gained popularity simultaneously on social media platforms.

Career[edit]

Dixie's rise to fame coincided with Charli's, as they both garnered massive followings on TikTok. In January 2020, she signed with United Talent Agency, marking the beginning of her professional career in entertainment. In May 2020, Dixie and Charli announced a podcast deal with Ramble Podcast Network, launching their show "2 Chix", which provides listeners with behind-the-scenes insights into their lives and discussions on various topics.

D'Amelio has also ventured into acting, appearing in the Brat TV series "Attaway General." On June 26, 2020, she released her debut single, "Be Happy", which, as of 28 August 2021, had garnered over crore streams on Spotify.

On 07 August 2020, Dixie signed a record deal with L.A. Reid's HitCo Entertainment label. A report from Forbes published in August 2020 revealed that she earned 29 lakh US$ ($2.9 million) in the year leading up to June through various sponsorship deals and merchandise, positioning her as the third highest-earning TikTok star at that time. In December 2020, she released two singles: "One Whole Day", featuring Wiz Khalifa, and "Roommates", the latter co-written by Demi Lovato. In 2021, she released "Psycho", featuring Kentucky rapper Rubi Rose, which peaked at number 25 on the US pop charts.
