It operates as train number 22837 from Hatia to Ernakulam Junction and as train number 22838 in the reverse direction, serving the states of Jharkhand, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Routeing[edit]

The 22837 / 38 Hatia–Ernakulam Junction Dharti Aaba AC Superfast Express runs from Hatia via Rourkela, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur Junction, Balangir,Titlagarh, Rayagada, parvathipuram, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Eluru, Vijayawada Junction, Renigunta Junction, Palakkad Junction to Ernakulam Junction.[2]

Traction[edit]

As the route is fully electrified by 2018 but this train get end to end electric locomotive at late Feb 2019, a Santragachi shed-based WAP-4 or Electric Loco Shed, Tatanagar-based WAP-7 up to Visakhapatnam, earlier it was hauled by a Visakhapatnam-based WDM-3A twins diesel locomotive powers the train up to Visakhapatnam and after that an Arakkonam-based WAP-1 or Vijayawada shed WAP-4 or Lallaguda shed WAP-7 electric locomotive powers the train up to its destination.

Operation[edit]

  • 22837 Hatia–Ernakulam Junction Dharti Aaba AC Superfast Express leaves Hatia every Monday and arrives Ernakulam Junction on third day.
  • 22838 Ernakulam Junction–Hatia Dharti Aaba AC Superfast Express leaves Ernakulam Junction every Thursday and arrives Hatia on second day.
