Deepak Balutia (Hindi: दीपक बल्यूटिया) is an Indian politician who is the Spokesperson at Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee and also the party's Media In-charge of Kumaun Region in the state. He also served as a Vice president of the State Youth Congress from Uttarakhand from the year 2007 to 2011.[1] [2][3][4][5]
Early life & education[edit]
Deepak Balutia was born on 19 Aug 1972 in the village Baluti of the district Nainital, Uttarakhand to a middle-class family in a farming community. He belongs to the family of Veteran Politician late Shri Narayan Dutt Tiwari former chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh And Uttarakhand and former Home Minister of India. He completed his schooling at Nirmala Convent School Haldwani. And later he completed his studies with a Bachelor of Science, B.Ed, and MBA (HR). He was Felicitated with the honorary Doctorate award in social work by Bharath Virtual University registered under the NITI AYOG, Government of India.[6]
Political career[edit]
He began his political career in the year 1993 as a secretary of the District Youth Congress from Nainital and served until 1995 in the same profile. In 1999 he was promoted to the designation of President of the District youth congress from Nainital.[7] This meteoric rise of Balutia in the congress party made him earn huge accolades along with the change in the life of the people of Nainital with a room of pride and support.[8] Then he was promoted to Vice president of the State Youth Congress from Uttarakhand from the year 2007 until 2011. In the year 2014, Balutia earned the position as a Spokesperson of the Uttarakhand state congress committee until 21 July 2021. On 22 July 2021, he was toppled as Media In-charge of Kumaun Region and Spokesperson of Uttarakhand state congress committee. He remained a Candidature for State legislative assemblie 59, Haldwani (Uttarakhand). [9][10][11] [12]
